MANAGING PERFORMANCE

The next workshop in VACT's Professional Development Program will be the monthly Learning Circle for Managers of Volunteer Programs.

The topic this month really is "Managing Performance".

Due to very unusual circumstances, "Managing Diversity" was offered last month.

The venue is Centacare Confrence Room, 57 Hicks Street Red Hill, Wednesday 15th October, from 10.30 to 1pm.


Now, about the workshop:

Every manager must guide and co-ordinate other people's performance. It is a fundamental component of a manager's job - ensuring that all team members do the best work they can.

In this workshop we will examine performance management tools we can use every day.

Briefly:

How to stay in touch, helping people identify shared problems and develop a sense of ownerhsip for them, how to guide teams in solving their own prolems and providing constructive feedback.
